- 1 small red cabbage, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions

In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.

Add the sliced red cabbage to the pan and stir to combine with the onions and garlic.

Pour in the apple cider vinegar and sprinkle the brown sugar, salt, black pepper, ground cloves, and ground nutmeg over the cabbage mixture. Stir well to coat the cabbage evenly.

Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the cabbage simmer for 40-45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
