How To Make Ground Turkey Shepherd s Pie Recipe
A hearty and delicious classic dish with a twist, made with ground turkey and topped with mashed potatoes.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots mix
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups of mashed potatoes
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

Add onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.

Add garlic and ground turkey and cook until turkey is browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon.

Add tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, frozen peas and carrots mix, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender and the sauce has thickened.

Transfer the mixture to a 9×9 inch baking dish and top with mashed potatoes.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the mashed potatoes are golden brown and the filling is hot and bubbly.
