How To Make Greek Tacos
Greek tacos are what you get when you put two tasty cuisines together. Gyro wrap flavors are made more accessible in a taco, complete with tzatziki sauce.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1tbspolive oil
- ½cupred onion,chopped
- 20ozground turkey,(93% lean)
- salt,to taste
- 1tbspgarlic,minced
- ½cuptomato sauce
- ¼cuplow-sodium chicken broth,(+ 2 tbsp)
- 1½tsporegano,dried
- ½tspthyme,dried
- ½tspground coriander
- 2tbspfresh lemon juice
For Serving:
- 8flourtortillas
- ½cupTzatziki sauce
- ½English cucumber,diced
- 2roma tomato,chopped
- 2cupsromaine lettuce,shredded
- ½cupfeta,crumbled
Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

Add in red onion and saute 2 minutes then add turkey. Season with salt to taste and cook, breaking up and stirring occasionally, until nearly cooked through.

Add garlic and continue to cook until turkey is cooked through. Stir in tomato sauce, chicken broth, oregano, thyme and coriander. Season with salt to taste.

Bring to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer and cook uncovered for about 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally until sauce has reduced.

Stir in lemon juice. Serve warm over tortillas with toppings listed.
