- 800g beef chuck, cut into cubes
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Hungarian sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sour cream, for serving
- Fresh parsley, for garnish

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic, and cook until softened.

Add the beef cubes and brown on all sides. Sprinkle the paprika and caraway seeds over the beef, stirring well to coat evenly.

Stir in the tomato paste, beef broth, diced potatoes, and diced red bell pepper. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and simmer for about 2 hours, or until the beef is tender and the flavors have melded together.
