Ingredients
- 1 kg tomatoes, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried dill
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh dill, for garnish

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.

Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, dried dill, salt, and pepper to the pot. Cook for about 5 minutes, until the tomatoes start to release their juices.

Pour in the vegetable broth and bring the soup to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Use an immersion blender or transfer the soup to a blender (in batches) and puree until smooth.

Return the soup to the pot and heat over low heat until warmed through.
