How To Make Salmon and Sweet Potato Chowder
A creamy and hearty chowder loaded with salmon, sweet potatoes, and vegetables.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 4 cups of vegetable or chicken broth
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 3 tbsp of butter
- 1 tsp of smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large pot, melt the butter and sauté the onion, garlic, carrots, and celery for 5 minutes or until softened.

Add the sweet potatoes, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the sweet potatoes are tender.

Pour in the broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Add the salmon and heavy cream. Cook for 5 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and the chowder is heated through.
