Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb pork shoulder, cut into chunks
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (4 oz each) diced green chilies
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, add the pork, onion, garlic, green chilies, diced tomatoes, chicken broth, cumin, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

  2. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the pork is tender.

  3. Once cooked, use two forks to shred the pork into smaller pieces.

  4. Serve the pork green chili hot, garnished with chopped fresh cilantro. Enjoy!
