Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pork shoulder, trimmed and cut into chunks
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine the pork shoulder, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

  2. Stir well to coat the pork evenly with the sauce.

  3. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 6 hours, or until the pork is tender and easy to shred.

  4. Once the pork is cooked, use two forks to shred it into smaller pieces. Mix it well with the sauce.
