- 1 (32 oz) jar sauerkraut
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions

Drain the sauerkraut and rinse with cold water to remove excess brine.

In a slow cooker, combine the sauerkraut, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, onion, garlic, caraway seeds, black pepper, and water.

Stir to mix all the ingredients well.

Cover and cook on low heat for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.
