How To Make Speedy Prawn Fried Rice

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cooked rice
  • 1/2 lb prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add garlic and onion, and sauté until fragrant.

  2. Add prawns and cook until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove the prawns from the skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add carrot and peas, and sauté for a few minutes until tender.

  4. Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and pour the beaten eggs into the other side. Scramble the eggs until cooked through.

  5. Add the cooked rice, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Stir well to combine all the ingredients and evenly coat the rice with the sauces.

  6. Return the cooked prawns to the skillet and stir to incorporate them into the fried rice.

  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
