How To Make Salmon Burgers with Lemon Basil Mayo

Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 burger buns
- lettuce leaves, for serving
- sliced tomatoes, for serving
- For the Lemon Basil Mayo:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat grill or stovetop grill pan over medium heat.

In a food processor, pulse the salmon fillets until coarsely chopped.

Transfer the chopped salmon to a mixing bowl and add breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.

Place the salmon patties on the preheated grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

While the burgers are cooking, prepare the Lemon Basil Mayo by mixing together mayonnaise, lemon juice, chopped basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.

Toast the burger buns if desired.

To assemble the burgers, spread a generous amount of Lemon Basil Mayo on the bottom bun. Top with a salmon patty, lettuce leaves, and sliced tomatoes. Place the top bun on and serve.
