Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 25 minutes
Total: 40 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed
  • 2 leeks, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced leeks and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

  4. Season the salmon fillet with salt and pepper. Place the salmon on top of the puff pastry sheet.

  5. Spread the cream cheese over the salmon and top with cooked leeks. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the leeks.

  6. Fold the edges of the puff pastry over the salmon and leek filling, creating a border.

  7. Brush the pastry with the beaten egg for a golden crust.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown and the salmon is cooked through.

  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
