Ingredients

  • 400g prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 thumb-sized ginger, grated
  • 2 red chillies, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, and cornstarch. Set aside.

  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add the garlic, ginger, and chillies. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. Add the prawns to the pan and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and are cooked through.

  4. Add the broccoli to the pan and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until it is tender-crisp.

  5. Pour the sauce over the prawns and broccoli, and toss everything together until coated. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the stir-fry hot, garnished with sesame seeds.
