  • 4 soft-shell crabs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Lemon wedges for serving
  • Tartar sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Clean the soft-shell crabs by removing the face and gills.

  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Dredge the crabs in the flour mixture, making sure they are well coated.

  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  5. Fry the crabs for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

  6. Remove the crabs from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  7. Serve the fried soft-shell crabs hot with lemon wedges and tartar sauce.
