How To Make Crab and Corn Chowder Recipe

A creamy soup with sweet corn and tender crab meat.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 strips of bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 cups of fresh or frozen corn kernels
  • 3 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 lb of lump crab meat, picked through
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the bacon until crispy.

  2. Add the onion and garlic, cook until softened.

  3. Stir in the potatoes and corn kernels.

  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.

  5. Stir in the heavy cream and crab meat. Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the crab meat is heated through.

  6. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with fresh parsley.
