How To Make Chilli Oysters

Ingredients

  • 12 fresh oysters
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Lime wedges, for serving
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler in the oven.

  2. In a small bowl, combine the chili sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, chopped green onions, sugar, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.

  3. Shuck the oysters and place them on a baking sheet.

  4. Spoon a generous amount of the chili sauce mixture over each oyster.

  5. Broil the oysters for about 5 minutes or until the edges start to curl and the sauce is bubbling.

  6. Remove from the oven and serve hot with lime wedges.

  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
