  • 16 fresh oysters
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons horseradish
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Crushed ice, for serving
  • Lemon wedges, for garnish
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Shuck the oysters and place them on a bed of crushed ice.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, hot sauce, and black pepper to make the cocktail sauce.

  3. Spoon a dollop of the cocktail sauce onto each oyster.

  4. Serve the oysters on a platter with additional crushed ice, lemon wedges, and fresh parsley for garnish.
