How To Make Cheesy Shrimp and Grits Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 cup of grits
- 4 cups of water
- 1 cup of grated cheddar cheese
- 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish

In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil. Slowly whisk in the grits and reduce heat to low. Cook for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the grits are thick and creamy.

Stir in the grated cheddar cheese until melted and well combined. Remove from heat and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Season the shrimp with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.

Divide the cheesy grits among 4 plates. Top with the cooked shrimp and garnish with fresh parsley.
