How To Make Stephanie Izard’s Shrimp and Grits Recipe
A classic Southern dish with a Stephanie Izard twist. Creamy grits topped with spicy and succulent shrimp.

Ingredients
- 1 cup of grits
- 3 cups of chicken broth
- 1 lb of shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 2 tbsp of unsalted butter
- 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp of Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped scallions (for garnish)
Instructions

In a saucepan, bring the grits and chicken broth to a boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover the pan, and cook the grits for 20-25 minutes until they are tender and creamy.

In a separate skillet, heat the butter over medium-high heat.

Add the garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the shrimp and Cajun seasoning, and cook for 3-4 minutes until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.

Stir in the heavy cream and cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Add salt and pepper to taste.

Spoon the grits onto a plate and top with the shrimp and sauce.

Garnish with chopped scallions.
