How To Make Open-Faced Mushroom and Swiss Sandwich

A savory combination of sautéed mushrooms, melted Swiss cheese, and herbs on toasted bread.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 lb sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. Toast bread and set aside.

  2. In a pan, melt butter and sauté mushrooms until tender.

  3. Add garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper to mushrooms.

  4. Top each toast slice with mushrooms and a slice of Swiss cheese.

  5. Broil in the oven until cheese is melted and bubbly.
