How To Make Open-Faced BLT Sandwich

This classic sandwich is given a modern update with open-faced presentation.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 8 strips of bacon
  • 2-3 tomatoes, sliced
  • 2 cups arugula
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Arrange bread slices in a single layer on a baking sheet and toast until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

  3. Spread mayonnaise evenly over each slice of bread.

  4. Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy, then drain on paper towels.

  5. Add sliced tomatoes and bacon strips on top of the mayonnaise on the bread slices.

  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  7. Top each slice with arugula and serve immediately.
