Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 8 eggs
  • 4 slices of cheese
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter, for spreading

Instructions

  1. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from pan and set aside.

  2. In the same pan, melt some butter and crack the eggs into the pan. Cook until the whites are set and the yolks are still runny. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Toast the bread slices until golden brown.

  4. Place a slice of cheese on 4 slices of bread. Top each with 2 slices of bacon and 2 fried eggs. Cover with another slice of bread.

  5. Butter the outsides of each sandwich.

  6. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and cook the sandwiches until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  7. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
