Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Cuban bread or French baguette
  • 1 pound roast pork, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pound ham, thinly sliced
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • Dill pickles, thinly sliced
  • Yellow mustard
  • Butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat panini press or a heavy skillet.

  2. Slice the Cuban bread or baguette in half lengthwise.

  3. Spread butter on the inside of both halves.

  4. Layer the roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, and pickles on one half of the bread.

  5. Spread mustard on the other half of the bread.

  6. Press the sandwich together and place it on the panini press or skillet.

  7. If using a skillet, place a heavy pan or another skillet on top of the sandwich to press it down.

  8. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted.

  9. Cut the sandwich into quarters and serve hot.
