Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes
Total: 35 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 large portobello mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onions
  • 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Remove the stems from the portobello mushrooms and use a spoon to gently scrape out the gills, creating a hollowed-out space for the pizza toppings.

  3. Place the mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet, gill side up. Spread a spoonful of pizza sauce onto each mushroom cap.

  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce. Top with black olives, bell peppers, red onions, and pepperoni slices.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the mushrooms are tender.

  6. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving. Serve hot and enjoy!
