Ingredients

  • 8 ounces of pasta
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 ounces) of diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon of dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. Add the diced tomatoes, dried basil, and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the tomato and garlic sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  5. Serve the tomato and garlic pasta hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
