How To Make Sausage Pasta Bake

Ingredients
- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up into smaller pieces.

Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.

Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, and oregano. Season with salt and pepper.

Simmer the sauce for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

In the greased baking dish, combine the cooked pasta and the sausage mixture. Mix well to evenly coat the pasta.

Top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.

Bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
