How To Make Sausage Ragu & Spinach Pasta Bake

Ingredients
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups spinach, chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant.

Add the cooked sausage back into the skillet along with the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and simmer for 10 minutes.

Stir in the chopped spinach and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the spinach wilts.

In a large baking dish, combine the cooked penne pasta and the sausage ragu sauce. Mix well to evenly distribute the sauce.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese on top of the pasta.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve hot.
