How To Make Smoked Sausage and Pasta Bake
A hearty and flavorful combination of smoked sausage and pasta in a creamy tomato sauce.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 12 oz of pasta (penne or fusilli)
- 14 oz of smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 14 oz of diced tomatoes
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp of dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp of dried basil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, brown the sausage over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened.

Add diced tomatoes, heavy cream, oregano, and basil. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir everything together.

Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
