Ingredients
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup vodka
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil, for garnish
Instructions

Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and sauté until softened.

Add the vodka to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing it to reduce slightly.

Stir in the tomato sauce and heavy cream. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the cooked penne pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Stir in the grated parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the Penne Russo à la Vodka in bowls, garnished with fresh basil.
