How To Make Gnocchi with Sage-Butter Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) gnocchi
  • 4 tbsp (56g) unsalted butter
  • 10 fresh sage leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sage leaves and cook until crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the sage leaves and set aside.

  3. To the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  4. Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet and toss to coat in the sage-infused butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the gnocchi is heated through and lightly browned.

  6. Serve the gnocchi with the crispy sage leaves on top and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
