How To Make Pork & Thyme Cheeseburgers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
  • 4 burger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground pork, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. Shape the pork mixture into 4 patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

  3. Preheat grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

  4. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.

  5. Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.

  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked patty on the bottom bun. Add desired toppings and cover with the top bun.

  7. Serve the pork and thyme cheeseburgers hot.
