Fried food never tasted this good! Here are some fried recipes to turn boring fried dishes to a tasty and grand feast!
Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
-
Place the chicken thighs in a bowl and pour the buttermilk over them. Let them marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
-
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.
-
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing any excess to drip off, and dredge each piece in the flour mixture, pressing firmly to adhere the coating.
-
Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
-
Gently place the chicken in the hot oil, skin side down. Fry for 5-6 minutes, until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
-
Flip the chicken and fry for an additional 5-6 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
-
Remove the chicken from the pan and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
-
Serve hot and enjoy!
