How To Make Gordo’s Best of the Best Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions

Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain any excess grease.

Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a 9×13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce. Arrange 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread half of the ricotta cheese over the noodles, followed by a third of the meat sauce. Sprinkle with a third of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

Repeat the layers with 3 more noodles, the remaining ricotta, another third of the meat sauce, and another third of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

Top with the remaining 3 noodles, the remaining meat sauce, and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before serving.
