Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 4 slices bread, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.

  2. Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.

  3. Spread the bread cubes evenly in the prepared baking dish. Top with the cooked sausage and shredded cheddar cheese.

  4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and sausage in the baking dish.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden brown on top.

  6. Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving.
