Ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.

  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until smooth.

  3. Gradually whisk in the milk and continue stirring until the mixture thickens.

  4. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.

  5. Reduce heat to low and gradually stir in the cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

  6. Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce, stirring until fully coated.

  7. Preheat the broiler.

  8. Transfer the macaroni and cheese to a baking dish and sprinkle with extra grated cheddar cheese.

  9. Broil for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
