How To Make Homemade Peri Peri Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 red chili peppers
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 tbsp of paprika
  • 1 tsp of dried oregano
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. In a blender, combine the garlic, chili peppers, juice of 2 lemons, olive oil, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.

  3. Place the chicken breasts in a large bowl and pour the peri peri marinade over them. Make sure each chicken breast is well coated.

  4. Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight in the refrigerator for maximum flavor.

  5. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard any excess marinade.

  6. Grill the chicken breasts for 6-8 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

  7. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

  8. Serve the homemade peri peri chicken with a side of rice or a salad for a complete meal.
