Ingredients

  • 4 large apples
  • 1/2 cup prunes, pitted and chopped
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Core the apples, creating a well in the center to hold the filling.

  3. In a bowl, mix together the prunes, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and melted butter.

  4. Stuff each apple with the prune mixture, dividing it equally between the apples.

  5. Place the stuffed apples in a baking dish and pour water into the bottom of the dish.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the apples are tender.

  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
