How To Make Apple Glazed Baked Ham

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 10lbsham,bone-in, pre-cooked
  • cupapple jelly
  • 2tbspbutter,softened
  • 2tbspdijon mustard
  • 1cupwhite wine,or apple juice
  • 2Granny Smith apples

Instructions

  1. Remove the ham from the packaging, and using a sharp knife, score the ham diagonally about every ¾-inch.

  2. Repeat the scoring in the opposite way to create a diamond shape.

  3. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

  4. Slice the apples and place them in the bottom of a large roasting pan.

  5. Melt the apple jelly in the microwave. Stir in the butter until melted, then stir in the dijon mustard.

  6. Brush half of the mustard mixture over the ham. Pour the wine or apple juice into the bottom of the pan

  7. Bake uncovered as directed on the package (time will vary based on size).

  8. Halfway through, remove the ham from the oven and brush with the remaining glaze.

  9. Remove from the oven, and allow the ham to rest for 15 minutes.

  10. Slice the ham and pour any pan juices over the slices.
