How To Make Peppercorn and Mushroom Sauce
A creamy sauce with the added kick of peppercorns and the earthy flavor of mushrooms.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp whole peppercorns
- Salt, to taste
Instructions

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

Add the onions and cook until soft and translucent.

Add garlic and mushrooms. Cook until mushrooms are soft.

Crush the peppercorns either using a mortar and pestle or a rolling pin and add them to the saucepan. Mix well.

Add heavy cream and bring to a boil.

Lower the heat and let it simmer for a few minutes.

Season with salt.

Serve hot and enjoy with your favorite meat or vegetable dishes.
