How To Make Horchata (Cinnamon Rice Milk)

Ingredients
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 4 cups water
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Ice cubes, for serving
- Ground cinnamon, for garnish
Instructions

Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

In a blender, combine the rinsed rice, water, cinnamon stick, sugar, and vanilla extract.

Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.

Place a fine-mesh sieve over a large bowl and pour the rice mixture through the sieve, pressing on the solids with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible.

Discard the solids and refrigerate the horchata for at least 1 hour.

To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled horchata over the ice.

Garnish with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon and enjoy!
