How To Make Horchata Rice Pudding Recipe

A creamy and comforting rice pudding with the delicious flavors of Horchata in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of white rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cups of Horchata
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • Ground cinnamon (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice and place it in a pot with the water and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let simmer for 18-20 minutes, until the rice is tender and the water has been absorbed.

  2. Remove the cinnamon stick and add the Horchata, sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to the pot. Stir to combine.

  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat and let cook for an additional 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pudding thickens.

  4. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes before dividing into 4 bowls.

  5. Sprinkle ground cinnamon over each bowl before serving.
