How To Make Cardamom and Pistachio Ice Cream
Creamy and nutty ice cream flavored with cardamom and studded with pistachios.

Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- 1/2 cup shelled pistachios, roughly chopped
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

In a large saucepan, combine the cream, milk, sugar, and ground cardamom. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is steaming but not boiling.

Remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes. Stir in vanilla extract.

Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Churn the mixture in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

About 5 minutes before the ice cream is ready, add the chopped pistachios.

Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
