Ingredients

  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh orange zest
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously grease a bundt cake pan.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cardamom.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, eggs, orange juice, and orange zest.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the center of the cake.

  6. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.

  7. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
