Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp anise seeds
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. In a small skillet, toast anise seeds until fragrant and lightly browned.

  3. Crush seeds with a mortar and pestle or spice grinder.

  4. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then press crushed anise seeds onto both sides of each fillet.

  5. Heat oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

  6. Add salmon fillets and cook until browned on both sides, 2-3 minutes per side.

  7. Transfer skillet to preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until salmon is fully cooked.

  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
