How To Make Sage Roasted Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh sage leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C).

  2. In a small bowl mix together olive oil, sage leaves, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  3. Rinse the chicken thighs and pat dry with paper towels.

  4. Rub the chicken thighs with the sage mixture, making sure to spread it evenly over all sides.

  5. Place the chicken thighs, skin side up in a baking dish.

  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Test by making sure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) on a meat thermometer.

  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
