  • 1 pound pasta
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
  • 12-15 fresh sage leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions.

  2. While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

  3. Once butter has melted, add sage leaves and cook until they become fragrant and crisp, about 2-3 minutes.

  4. Remove sage leaves from pan and set aside.

  5. Continue to cook butter until it turns golden brown and smells nutty, about 2-3 more minutes.

  6. Drain pasta and add it to the skillet with the brown butter.

  7. Toss pasta with salt, black pepper, and grated Parmesan cheese.

  8. Serve pasta hot, topped with the crispy fried sage leaves.
