How To Make Vegetarian Stuffing

Ingredients
- 4 cups cubed bread
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried sage
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup vegetable broth
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Spread the cubed bread on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes until slightly toasted.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion, celery, and minced garlic. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the dried thyme, dried sage, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.

Pour the vegetable broth over the vegetable mixture in the skillet and bring to a simmer.

In a large bowl, combine the toasted bread cubes and the vegetable mixture from the skillet. Toss until well mixed.

Transfer the stuffing mixture to a greased casserole dish.

Cover the casserole dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the top is golden brown.

Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
