Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup quinoa
  • 1/2 cup barley
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Fresh fruits for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the oats, quinoa, barley, water, milk, salt, and cinnamon.

  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until the grains are tender, stirring occasionally.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in the honey or maple syrup.

  4. Serve hot with a sprinkle of chopped nuts and fresh fruits on top, if desired.
