Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 2 tbsp of brown sugar
  • Optional toppings: sliced bananas, chopped nuts, or dried fruits

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized pot, bring the water to a boil.

  2. Stir in the rolled oats and salt.

  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Once the porridge has reached your desired consistency, remove it from the heat.

  5. Stir in the brown sugar until it dissolves.

  6. Serve the porridge hot and top with your preferred toppings.
