How To Make Sweet Sourdough

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.

  2. In a large bowl, combine sourdough starter, flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, oil, honey, and vanilla extract.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.

  5. Transfer the batter into the greased loaf pan.

  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Allow bread to cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.

  8. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
